Clair Gibson
Clair is a Registered Nurse with over 50 years’ experience in the NHS, including 28 years in professional development roles, focussed on education and training of staff. For the past 27 years she has specialised in moving and handling and has an MSc with distinction in Back Care Management. Clair has an excellent up to date knowledge of best practice in moving and handling and musculoskeletal health. She is an Advanced member of National Back Exchange, attending local Yorkshire Back Exchange and is an active member of LARF [Loughborough Alumni Research Forum] in patient handling. Clair is on the Nursing and Midwifery Council Register as Registered Nurse [Adult] and Lecturer / Practice Educator.
She has vast experience of providing bespoke advice and practical solutions for specific issues including staff members with musculoskeletal disorders and challenging patient handling situations. She has provided support on display screen equipment [DSE] and work station assessments, advising on appropriate equipment.
